About

Katie Belt, LISW-CP

I am a therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals find peace and healing in all areas of their lives. I have had the opportunity to help individuals and families in the field of social work in a variety of settings since 2011. I believe that you are the expert of your life. I would be honored to come along side you to help you find what you are looking for. I am certified in Trauma-Focused CBT and utilize techniques in CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy and Attachment Theory. I teach techniques and coping skills to help those struggling with the variety of life's challenges. I use therapeutic skills such as; stress management, challenging and reframing negative thoughts, assertive communication, self-esteem work, art therapy, self-care practices, mindfulness, relaxation and meditation. I believe that the work you do in-between sessions is crucial to your success and will be giving you specific therapy homework regularly. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in accepting people where they are in life and helping them work through the areas they desire to see change. I believe every individual has the ability to overcome even the worst life circumstances to fully become who they were meant to be.
